Job summary

Downer has been awarded the Property and Asset Services contract and is inviting applications to join our permanent workforce at Randwick Barracks as a Plumber. You will perform general plumbing maintenance, repair water supply and drainage systems, undertake backflow testing where certified, and respond quickly to urgent service requests.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Plumbing (or equivalent) is required.
• NSW Plumbing Licence (NSW) is required.
• Post-trade experience in plumbing maintenance is preferred.
• Backflow Certification and Gas Work Licence (Type A) are desirable.
• Current Open Driver's Licence is required.
• Ability to obtain Defence Security Clearance (Australian Citizenship required).

Responsibilities

• Perform general plumbing maintenance and minor upgrade works.
• Maintain and repair water supply, sewerage, drainage and other plumbing systems across the base.
• Undertake backflow prevention and thermostatic mixing valve testing where certified.
• Respond promptly to service requests and urgent repairs.
