Job summary

Service Stream is seeking qualified plumbers to support a long-term Defence contract based at Robertson Barracks, NT. The role focuses on repairing and maintaining plumbing systems across Defence buildings and infrastructure, ensuring compliance with regulations, and collaborating with maintenance teams.

The ideal candidate will hold a Certificate III in Plumbing and a valid Plumbing & Drainage Licence, with backflow prevention endorsements desirable.

Qualifications

• Experience in plumbing maintenance and repair work.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Licence: Plumbing & Drainage Occupational Licence; backflow prevention would be desirable.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair plumbing issues across Defence buildings and infrastructure.
• Install, maintain, and repair sinks, toilets, water heaters and pipework.
• Ensure all work complies with current legislation and regulatory standards.
• Conduct regular maintenance checks on plumbing systems and pipework.
• Collaborate with maintenance staff and contractors to complete repairs.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
• Advise on selection of materials and equipment for repairs.
• Provide guidance to junior staff and apprentices.
• Identify areas for process improvement and implement best practices.
