Job summary

Defence Australia in Canberra is seeking an Engineering Project Manager to lead delivery for the Integrated Sensor Architecture national office. You will coordinate ISANO activities with the Systems Engineer, industry partners and Defence stakeholders to meet milestones under AMP06006.

The role requires complex engineering project management, strong governance and risk skills, plus NV1 eligibility. Full-time onsite at Symonston ACT with limited remote options may be considered.

Qualifications

• Master Degree (or higher) in Project/Engineering/Business discipline.
• Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Applied Science, CS, or equivalent.
• Hold or eligible for recognised PM accreditation (PMP/PRINCE2/ MSP).
• 15+ years of industry experience in engineering or project management.
• Experience managing complex engineering/UICT/Defence projects.
• Hold or be eligible for NV1 security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain AMP06006 Stage 2 PM plan with WBS, schedule and risk management.
• Identify and manage project risks affecting schedules/outcomes.
• Coordinate engineering, integration, assurance and verification activities.
• Manage delivery schedules, dependencies and risks of engineering activities.
• Plan and track engineering reviews, governance forums and milestones.
• Coordinate reporting on technical risks and integration activities.
• Support the Systems Engineer and modelling/standards teams.
• Engage with capability projects, industry partners and ISA stakeholders.
• Manage project budget, resources and governance reporting.
• Coordinate prototyping and test/evaluation events.
• Produce required documentation and records.
• Support knowledge transfer and continuity of capability.
