Job summary

Saab Australia is seeking a Business Operations Manager to deliver the CSI-IPT Business Operations capability, leading WHS, ICT, GFM, and continuous improvement across multiple projects in defence acquisition. You will manage a cross-functional team, set governance and reporting to senior stakeholders, and drive ongoing process maturity.

The role requires senior program management experience in complex projects, with Australian citizenship and the ability to obtain an Australian Defence Security

Qualifications

• Degree in Project Management, Business or Engineering is desirable.
• Post graduate level qualifications in Engineering, Project Management or Business Management/Administration is desirable.
• 5+ years of Program Manager or Business Operations Manager experience in defence acquisition is desirable.
• Capable of achieving Registered Project Management status with AIPM is desirable.
• Senior Management Professional with demonstrated experience in project orientated organisations.
• Demonstrated negotiation and interrelationship skills in multi-disciplinary environments.
• Good organisational skills with ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
• Broad competency in managing complex engineering development projects.
• Experience implementing Project Management methodologies and continuous improvement techniques.

Responsibilities

• Exhibit leadership, communication and negotiation skills and engage with and influence internal and external stakeholders across the CSI-IPT.
• Establish and manage CSI-IPT Business Operations ensuring the CSI-IPT executes effectively within the contract commercial framework.
• Have demonstrated management experience in an organisation, delivering complex systems solutions.
• Establish and operate the Workplace Health and Safety Management System, including engagement with WHS resources and Partner organisations.
• Develop and implement the national facilities strategy.
• Be a member of the Management Team.
• Provide leadership of the Business Operations Team.
• Provide Control Account Management for work packages across multiple tasking statements.
• Be accountable for the responsibilities of the Business Operations team members.
• Report on contract execution to senior stakeholders.
• Develop and operate the ICT strategy and roadmap.
• Be responsible for implementing and establishing the CSI Management System and governance framework.
• Flexible work arrangements such as hybrid work from home - office and a 9-day fortnight will be considered for this role.
