Job summary

Amentum seeks a talented Modelling & Simulation Engineer to support a major Defence capability program through modelling, simulation, and analytical techniques. You will work within a multidisciplinary team, providing specialist advice on capability performance, operational effectiveness, and acquisition decision-making.

Engage with Defence stakeholders, industry partners, and technical experts to deliver evidence-based assessments for capability development.

Qualifications

Experience in modelling and simulation or operational analysis within complex technical environments.
Strong understanding of simulation methodologies and analytical techniques.
Ability to translate technical findings into clear recommendations.
Experience with capability assessment and acquisition decision support.
Engagement with defence stakeholders and industry partners.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain modelling and simulation requirements to support capability assessments and acquisition activities.
Design and execute operational, engagement, and performance simulations to evaluate system effectiveness.
Develop realistic operational scenarios and simulation environments for capability analysis.
Conduct trade studies and comparative assessments of capability options, architectures, and solutions.
Analyse technical and operational data to assess performance and interoperability.
Support requirements validation and evidence-based decision-making through simulation outputs.
Identify capability risks and provide recommendations to stakeholders.
Produce technical reports and assessments for Defence stakeholders.
