Job summary

Compass Group Pty Limited is seeking an experienced Chef Supervisor to join the Randwick Barracks kitchen team in Randwick, NSW. This full-time role combines hands-on cooking with kitchen leadership to deliver high-quality meals in a structured environment.

You will lead daily operations, ensure HACCP compliance, mentor and develop staff, and contribute to menu planning and food production for breakfast, lunch, dinner and functions.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery is required.
• Experience in supervisory or leadership role in a commercial kitchen.
• Experience in bulk catering or high-volume food production environments.
• Strong knowledge of HACCP, food safety and allergen management.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to lead and motivate a team.
• Reliable, professional and customer-focused approach.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a National Police Check and Defence clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support kitchen team members during daily operations.
• Prepare high-quality meals for breakfast, lunch, dinner and functions.
• Oversee food preparation, presentation and portion control standards.
• Maintain food safety, hygiene and HACCP compliance.
• Assist with menu implementation and daily food production planning.
• Support stock control, ordering and inventory management.
• Train, coach and develop team members.
• Ensure a positive and productive kitchen culture.
