Job summary

Compass Group Australia is hiring a Chef Supervisor for Kokoda Barracks, Canungra. This full-time leadership role oversees a professional kitchen team, delivers high-quality meals across breakfast, lunch, dinner and functions, and ensures HACCP compliance in a structured Defence site environment.

You will mentor staff, manage daily operations, support menu implementation, stock control and keeping a positive kitchen culture while meeting security clearances.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a kitchen team in a commercial setting.
• Bulk catering or high-volume production experience.
• Strong HACCP knowledge and food safety management.
• Excellent organisation and communication abilities.
• Ability to obtain National Police Check and Defence clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support kitchen team members during daily operations
• Prepare high-quality meals for breakfast, lunch, dinner and functions
• Oversee food preparation, presentation and portion control standards
• Maintain food safety, hygiene and HACCP compliance
• Assist with menu implementation and daily food production planning
• Support stock control, ordering and inventory management
• Train, coach and develop team members
• Ensure a positive and productive kitchen culture
• Support operational and catering requirements across the site
