Job summary

Ventia is hiring a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic to support Australia’s Defence Force under the Defence Maintenance Contract. You will service, repair and overhaul a varied fleet of vehicles, from 4WDs to armoured and tracked vehicles, ensuring readiness and safety.

Permanent full-time role with ongoing training, a strong safety culture and opportunities across the Defence sector. You will require a Certificate III in Heavy Vehicle Mechanical Technology, a valid HR/HC licence and the ability to work in

Qualifications

• Hold a Certificate III in Heavy Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent.
• HR or HC Driver's Licence is required.
• Demonstrated experience servicing and repairing heavy vehicles.
• Experience with diesel engines, transmissions and driveline components beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Conduct scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance on Defence vehicles.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical faults across a range of Defence vehicles.
• Overhaul major assemblies including engines and transmissions.
• Maintain documentation and safety/compliance standards.
