Job summary

Varley Group is seeking a qualified Heavy Vehicle Mechanic to join our Fleet Services team at RAAF Base Williamtown, NSW, working on specialised Defence vehicles and equipment. You will perform maintenance, diagnostics and repairs to ensure assets remain safe, reliable and operational.

Qualifications

• Heavy vehicle trade qualification or equivalent.
• Demonstrated diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
• Experience with hydraulic, pneumatic or electrical systems is essential.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings or maintenance procedures.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, repair and diagnose heavy vehicles and specialised fleet equipment.
• Support Defence customers and stakeholders with timely technical input.
• Work independently and as part of a close team while upholding safety and quality.
