Job summary

Electro Optic Systems is seeking a Senior Cyber Security Engineer to lead system-level cyber security across Defence programs. You will define requirements, develop secure architectures and manage security risks to ensure material systems remain secure, compliant and resilient.

You will guide project teams, produce cybersecurity artefacts and support accreditation processes, developing policies and procedures to demonstrate conformance with Defence standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in systems engineering methodologies and toolsets.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals and secure coding practices.
• Extensive embedded systems experience in regulated sectors (Defence, Automotive, Medical, Aerospace).
• Proficiency with secure software development and DevSecOps pipelines.
• Knowledge of ISM, DSPF and PSPF and applying them to security controls.
• Ability to write and maintain security policies and SOPs.
• Proven ability to prioritise multiple demands in dynamic environments.
• Detail-oriented with a drive for continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Elicit, develop and manage cybersecurity requirements, baselines and controls.
• Collaborate with stakeholders on customer cybersecurity requirements analysis.
• Support development and test teams in implementing cybersecurity requirements.
• Develop and manage security documentation and assessment activities.
• Act as the technical point of contact for system-level cybersecurity.
• Perform technical risk assessments and support incident response.
• Support security working groups to discuss risks and controls.
• Support threat risk and vulnerability assessments.
• Perform threat modelling and implement controls.
• Coach and mentor team members on cybersecurity designs and compliances.
