Job summary

Penske Australia is seeking a mechanically or electrically trained technician to join our Defence Compressed Air Systems Service Team at Garden Island. This full-time, permanent role offers on-site work with training provided to become an industry specialist.

You will perform maintenance, servicing and repairs on heavy-duty air systems, diagnosing faults and following safety standards. Australian citizen with ability to obtain Defence security clearance is required.

Qualifications

• A mechanical or electrical trade qualified technician with experience in diesel engines, hydraulics or pneumatics.
• Strong in maintenance, service and repair of heavy duty diesel engines.
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems and related tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, servicing and repairs on compressed air systems and associated equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic system faults.
• Inspect, test and assess equipment to identify faults and ensure reliable operation.
• Support the safe operation and ongoing performance of Defence compressed air systems.
• Follow technical procedures, maintenance requirements and site safety standards.
• Work with the Defence Compressed Air Systems Service Team to develop your technical expertise.
