Job summary

Penske Transportation Group in Australia is seeking a mechanically or electrically qualified technician to join the Defence Compressed Air Systems Service Team at Garden Island. This full-time, permanent role includes training to become an industry specialist.

You will perform maintenance, service and repair on heavy duty diesel engines and pneumatic systems, diagnose faults, and ensure safe, reliable operation while abiding by Defence security requirements.

Qualifications

• Trade-qualified technician in mechanical or electrical discipline.
• Experience with diesel engines, hydraulics or pneumatics is preferred.
• Air compressor experience is a plus; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, servicing and repairs on compressed air systems and equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic faults.
• Inspect, test and assess equipment for reliable operation.
• Support safe operation of Defence compressed air systems.
• Follow technical procedures and site safety standards.
• Collaborate with Defence Compressed Air Systems Service Team while building expertise.
