Job summary

Thales Australia’s SIX program leads a major Google Cloud infrastructure initiative from Canberra to deliver sovereign cloud capabilities for Defence outcomes. You will oversee delivery, performance and growth of the program within a complex matrix environment, coordinating cross-functional teams to meet objectives.

The role requires strong stakeholder engagement with Defence customers, rigorous governance, and a proven track record in delivering high-quality technology programs on time and on

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading large-scale cloud/infrastructure programs in Defence or government.
• Strong understanding of cloud/digital infrastructure, especially GCP.
• Ability to lead high-performing teams in matrix organisations.
• Proven track record with senior stakeholders relationships.
• Strong commercial acumen with contracts, budgets, forecasting.
• Knowledge of Defence governance, ASDEFCON and EVM principles.
• Relevant tertiary qualification in engineering/technology.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery and growth of Google Cloud infrastructure program supporting Defence outcomes.
• Drive program performance across safety, quality, schedule, cost, risk and customer satisfaction.
• Build trusted relationships with Defence customers and key stakeholders.
• Develop a high-performing multidisciplinary workforce in a complex matrix environment.
• Ensure governance, commercial performance and contractual compliance.
• Contribute to portfolio growth through customer engagement and capture activities.
