Job summary

SeaLink Western Australia is seeking energetic Deckhands to join the friendly crew in blue. Roles include full-time positions for 6 months from October to April or casual for Nov/Dec/January, with competitive hourly rates and penalties after 7pm and on weekends.

Both options provide leave, training and opportunities for career advancement within a large marine transport operator. A strong safety mindset and customer service focus are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Must have Senior First Aid Qualification
• RSA and First Aid required
• General Purpose Hand Near Coastal or STCW certification essential
• Commercial maritime experience preferred
• Exposure to high level customer service essential

Responsibilities

• Assist with safe daily operations of the vessel and follow policies
• Prevent unsafe incidents and maintain safety standards
• Deliver high-quality customer service at all times
• Assist with boarding and disembarkation of passengers
• Support master in maintaining safe and compliant marine operations
• Participate in vessel mooring activities and deck equipment handling
• Maintain vessel cleanliness and maintenance
• Contribute to on-board kiosk service in line with responsible service guidelines
• Participate in scheduled emergency drills
