Job summary

The Cordina Group in Girraween, NSW is seeking an experienced Night Shift Distribution Supervisor to lead a large multi-dock operation within our national distribution centre. You will supervise the night team, coordinate loading, stock movements and ensure orders are completed on time while upholding HACCP and WHS standards.

You will bring previous supervisory experience in warehousing or cold storage, a current Forklift Licence, strong leadership and communication skills, and a hands-on

• Minimum 2+ years supervisory experience in warehousing or distribution.
• Current Forklift Licence is essential.
• Experience in high-volume distribution environments is preferred.
• Good understanding of HACCP, food safety and WHS requirements.

Responsibilities

About the Role

Reporting to the DC Operations Manager - Night, you will supervise the night-shift distribution team across a large, multi-dock operation. You will be actively involved in the daily operation while providing leadership, direction and support to the team.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supervising the day-to-day operations of the night-shift distribution team.
• Managing picking, packing, staging and loading of customer orders.
• Coordinating vehicle loading across multiple docks.
• Monitoring workloads, productivity, pick rates and order accuracy.
• Ensuring all customer orders are completed and dispatched within required timeframes.
• Managing stock movements, rotation and accuracy.
• Supervising cool room operations and maintaining high housekeeping standards.
• Supporting rostering and allocation of staff and resources.
• Providing hands-on support to the team when required.
• Operating forklifts and assisting with warehouse activities.
• Ensuring compliance with HACCP, food safety, quality and WHS requirements.
• Coordinating cleaning and maintaining distribution areas to a high standard.
• Working closely with clerks, warehouse staff, transport and other stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.
• Providing effective shift handovers and maintaining communication between teams.
• Supporting the training and development of distribution team members.
• Identifying opportunities to improve processes, productivity and efficiency.
• Assisting the DC Operations Manager and Distribution & Warehouse Manager with operational requirements and projects.

About You

• Previous experience in distribution, warehousing, dispatch or a cold room environment.
• Previous supervisory or team leadership experience.
• Experience working within a high-volume distribution centre.
• Experience with multiple dock operations and vehicle loading.
• Strong understanding of warehouse and dispatch processes.
• Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• A current Forklift Licence – essential.
• A hands-on approach and willingness to be actively involved in the operation.
• Certificate III in Distribution and/or Warehousing will be highly regarded.
• Experience in the food manufacturing, poultry or cold storage industry will be highly regarded.

Shift & Working Conditions

• Monday to Friday: 9:00pm – 5:00am
• Occasional Sunday: 6:00pm – 2:00am, based on operational requirements.
• Work in a temperature-controlled cool room environment.
• PPE provided by Cordina.

Full-time position based at Girraween, NSW.
