Job summary

The Cordina Group in Girraween, NSW, is seeking an DC Operations Supervisor for the afternoon shift to lead a large night-shift distribution team in a high-volume centre. This full-time role involves coordinating picking, packing, loading and stock control across multiple docks to meet customer deadlines.

Applicants should have supervisory experience, a forklift licence, strong leadership and time-management skills, and a hands-on approach to operational excellence in a temperature-controlled

Qualifications

• Previous supervisory or team leadership experience.
• Experience in distribution, warehousing, dispatch or a cold room environment.
• Experience working within a high-volume distribution centre.
• Certificate III in Distribution and/or Warehousing will be highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the day-to-day operations of the night-shift distribution team.
• Manage picking, packing, staging and loading of customer orders.
• Coordinate vehicle loading across multiple docks.
• Monitor workloads, productivity, pick rates and order accuracy.
• Ensure all customer orders are completed and dispatched within required timeframes.
• Manage stock movements, rotation and accuracy.
• Supervise cool room operations and maintain high housekeeping standards.
• Support rostering and allocation of staff and resources.
• Provide hands-on support to the team when required.
• Operate forklifts and assist with warehouse activities.
• Ensure compliance with HACCP, food safety, quality and WHS requirements.
• Coordinate cleaning and maintain distribution areas to a high standard.
• Work closely with clerks, warehouse staff, transport and other stakeholders.
• Provide effective shift handovers and maintain communication between teams.
• Support the training and development of distribution team members.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, productivity and efficiency.
• Assist the DC Operations Manager and Distribution & Warehouse Manager with operational requirements and projects.

About the Role

Reporting to the DC Operations Manager - Afternoon, you will supervise the night-shift distribution team across a large, multi-dock operation. You will be actively involved in the daily operation while providing leadership, direction and support to the team.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supervising the day-to-day operations of the night-shift distribution team.
• Managing picking, packing, staging and loading of customer orders.
• Coordinating vehicle loading across multiple docks.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Previous experience in distribution, warehousing, dispatch or a cold room environment.
• Previous supervisory or team leadership experience.
• Experience working within a high-volume distribution centre.
• Experience with multiple dock operations and vehicle loading.
• Strong understanding of warehouse and dispatch processes.
• Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• A current Forklift Licence – essential.
• A hands-on approach and willingness to be actively involved in the operation.
• Certificate III in Distribution and/or Warehousing will be highly regarded.
• Experience in the food manufacturing, poultry or cold storage industry will be highly regarded.

Shift & Working Conditions

Monday to Friday: 1:00pm – 9:00pm

Occasional Saturday: 1:00pm – 9:00mm, based on operational requirements.

Work in a temperature-controlled cool room environment.
