Job summary

Precision Sourcing is seeking a Payroll Specialist in Sydney to take ownership of end-to-end payroll for assigned pay groups. You will manage pre-pay, pay-run and post-pay activities in a high-volume environment, solve complex transactions, complete reconciliations and respond to employee queries.

You'll work closely with HR, Finance and operations, contribute to system improvements and provide guidance to teammates.

Qualifications

• Experienced Payroll Officer or Payroll Specialist with strong deadlines and complex issue resolution.
• Experience in high-volume or complex payroll environments.
• Knowledge of Awards, Enterprise Agreements, superannuation, taxation and leave.
• Strong Excel and payroll system experience.
• Proactive, accountable and detail-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Owning end-to-end payroll across assigned pay groups
• Managing pre-pay, pay-run and post-pay activities
• Processing complex transactions, including terminations, back pay, leave adjustments and corrections
• Completing reconciliations, controls and exception checks
• Investigating payroll discrepancies and resolving employee queries
• Working with HR, Finance and operational stakeholders
• Supporting system improvements, testing and process enhancements
• Providing guidance to other team members when needed
