JD Refrigerated Transport in Brisbane seeks an experienced Day Shift Allocator to coordinate daily transport operations. You will allocate drivers, trucks and trailers while managing real-time schedule changes and ensuring safety, compliance, and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Experience in transport allocation or dispatch.
• Solid knowledge of road transport operations and Standard Hours / BFM.
• Experience with TMS and telematics systems.
• Strong communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to stay calm and make effective decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• A strong commitment to safety, compliance and customer service.
• Refrigerated transport knowledge and NHVR/CoR familiarity is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Allocating drivers, trucks and trailers in line with the daily transport plan.
• Managing changes to schedules and allocations in real time.
• Coordinating daily departures and load movements.
• Monitoring driver and fleet availability.
• Communicating requirements and changes to drivers and stakeholders.
• Considering fatigue, NHVR and CoR requirements when making allocations.
• Managing and escalating operational issues to minimise delays.
• Working with Drivers, Warehouse, Customer Service, Fleet and Management.
• Supporting continuous improvement and operational efficiency.
