Job summary

Cleanaway is seeking a Supervisory role in transport and logistics to drive day-to-day operations in a high-volume setting. Lead a safety-focused team, coordinate driver runs, and ensure maintenance and compliance tasks are completed efficiently.

The ideal candidate will have a transport/logistics background, strong leadership, and a solid grasp of safety and environmental regulations. A Heavy Rigid licence is desirable.

Qualifications

• Supervisor with a transport and logistics background.
• Knowledge of safety management systems.
• Strong leadership and ability to inspire teams.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of HSE and environmental legislation.
• Knowledge of NHVR legislation.
• Passion for safety and sustainability.
• Heavy Rigid driver’s licence desirable.

Responsibilities

• Drive operational efficiencies within the team and review collection runs.
• Develop and mentor a collaborative, efficient and engaged team.
• Coordinate day-to-day driver run scheduling.
• Ensure pre-start, post-run and maintenance tasks are carried out on all equipment.
• Lead customer service and investigate and resolve service issues.
• Consult with line management on the development of operational targets.
• Enforce and monitor NHVR regulations.
• Prepare detailed reports on labour efficiencies and cost management.
• Lead performance management investigations.
