Job summary

Sunnyday Carers is seeking an enthusiastic Day Program Team Leader to guide the delivery of person-centred day programs that empower participants to reach their goals and build independence.

You will lead a team of support staff, coordinate daily activities and community participation, ensure quality service delivery, and maintain a safe, inclusive environment where participants can learn, connect, and enjoy meaningful experiences in line with NDIS plans.

Qualifications

• Experience in disability services, community programs, or NDIS environments.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Passion for supporting people with disabilities to achieve their goals.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to develop creative and meaningful activities.
• Understanding of person-centred practice and NDIS service delivery.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the day program team to deliver high-quality participant-focused services.
• Coordinate daily activities, programs, and community participation opportunities.
• Ensure activities align with participants’ goals, interests, abilities, and NDIS plans.
• Provide guidance, mentoring, and support to team members.
• Maintain a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment for all participants.
• Monitor service quality, documentation, incident reporting, and compliance requirements.
• Build positive relationships with participants, families, support coordinators, and stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities to improve participant experiences and program outcomes.
