WattleCore Technologies Pty Ltd in North Sydney seeks a DataOps / CI-CD Engineer to own the end-to-end delivery pipeline for a Snowflake/dbt data platform program. You will design branching, automate validation, and govern promotions across DEV/TEST/UAT/PROD with secure secrets handling and IaC.

The role emphasizes governance, repeatability and auditable deployments in a regulated environment, with hands-on work on Snowflake deployments, Terraform, and modern CI/CD tools within an Agile team.

Qualifications

• Proven experience building and owning CI/CD pipelines for data platforms.
• Strong Git skills: branching strategies, PR workflows, merge governance.
• Hands-on with GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps Pipelines or GitLab CI.
• Experience automating Snowflake deployments with IaC (Terraform or similar).
• Secrets management and secure automation for pipelines.
• dbt Core/Cloud knowledge: compile, build, test, environments.
• Release approvals, rollback strategies and audit trails.
• Scripting in Python, Bash or PowerShell.
• Clear communication with engineering, architecture and governance stakeholders.

Responsabilités

• Design, build and own the end-to-end CI/CD pipeline for the Snowflake and dbt platform.
• Define and maintain Git branching strategy, branch protection rules and merge conventions.
• Implement PR validation with automated dbt compile, dbt build/test, SQL linting and slim CI.
• Automate promotion of code across DEV, TEST, UAT and PROD with env-specific config and quality checks.
• Monitor pipeline health, reduce build times and improve developer experience.
