Job summary

Sharon AI, Inc. is seeking a hands-on Data Centre Technician to join our operations team and support the day-to-day management of critical infrastructure environments across servers, storage and networking hardware.

You will perform structured cabling, rack and stack deployments, hardware upgrades and incident response within a live operational setting, ensuring documentation accuracy and adherence to ITIL governance.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in live data centre or critical infrastructure environments.
  • Strong hands-on knowledge of server hardware, structured cabling and networking concepts.
  • Experience with fibre and copper cabling installation, testing and troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with switching, routing and enterprise infrastructure environments.
  • Understanding of PDUs, UPS systems and cooling infrastructure.
  • Strong problem-solving capability and ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
  • Customer-focused mindset with strong attention to detail.
  • Working knowledge of ITIL processes and service management principles.

Responsibilities

  • Install, configure and maintain data centre hardware including servers, storage systems, networking equipment and racks.
  • Perform structured cabling works across copper and fibre infrastructure to industry standards.
  • Support rack and stack deployments, hardware upgrades, migrations and decommissioning activities.
  • Monitor systems and respond to operational alerts, incidents and service requests.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, connectivity and infrastructure-related issues.
  • Support high-performance compute and AI infrastructure environments.
  • Maintain accurate documentation including layouts, asset registers and operational procedures.
  • Conduct routine inspections across power, cooling, airflow and physical infrastructure systems.
  • Follow change management and ITIL-aligned governance processes.
  • Collaborate with engineers, vendors and stakeholders to ensure service reliability.

As we continue to grow, we are looking for a hands-on Data Centre Technician to join our operations team and support the day-to-day management of critical infrastructure environments. What You’ll Be Doing

What We’re Looking For
  • Proven experience working within live data centre or critical infrastructure environments
  • Strong hands-on knowledge of server hardware, structured cabling and networking concepts
  • Experience with fibre and copper cabling installation, testing and troubleshooting
  • Familiarity with switching, routing and enterprise infrastructure environments
  • Understanding of PDUs, UPS systems and cooling infrastructure
  • Strong problem-solving capability and ability to work independently
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
  • Customer-focused mindset with strong attention to detail
  • Working knowledge of ITIL processes and service management principles
  • Relevant certifications such as CompTIA, ITIL or similar are highly regarded
Desirable Qualifications
  • CompTIA Server+, Network+ or similar infrastructure certifications
  • ITIL Foundation certification or exposure to structured IT service management environments
  • Experience working within enterprise, hyperscale or high-performance compute data centre environments
  • Exposure to DCIM tools, monitoring platforms or infrastructure management systems
  • Basic scripting or automation knowledge (e.g. PowerShell, Python) is advantageous
  • Experience supporting GPU infrastructure or AI-related compute environments will be highly regarded
