Job summary

The Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority (VCAA) is seeking a Database Administrator in East Melbourne to deliver DBA services for Oracle and SQL Server databases across VCE, VET, VPC and NAPLAN. You will be part of the Assessment Applications Unit within Corporate Services, contributing to reliable data systems and reporting.

You will work in a collaborative team, provide specialist advice on database activities, and participate in on-call support during peak processing periods.

Qualifications

Extensive experience in database administration of Oracle and SQL Server on Windows.
Experience writing SQL programs for DBA tasks, data manipulation and reporting.

Responsibilities

Provide database administration services for Oracle and SQL Server databases.
Offer on-call support during peak processing periods (mid-Sep to mid-Dec).
Diagnose performance issues in in-house applications interacting with databases.
