Job summary

You will provide essential DBA services for bespoke applications used to deliver VCE, VET, VPC and NAPLAN, relying on Oracle and SQL Server on Windows.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in database administration of Oracle and SQL Server databases on a Windows platform.
• Experience in writing SQL programs to perform database administration, data manipulation and reporting tasks.
• Desirable: Embedded SQL in other languages and understanding of VCE/VPC/VET systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide Database Administration services for the VCAA and its bespoke applications.
• Support delivery of VCE, VET, VPC and NAPLAN through robust database management.
• Provide on-call support during critical processing periods (mid-September to mid-December).
