Job summary

The Victorian Department of Health is seeking a Data Warehouse Developer to join the Centre for Victorian Data Linkage. You will design, develop, automate and support data integration and warehousing solutions across Microsoft SQL Server, Azure and Databricks.

The role focuses on ETL/ELT processes, onboarding datasets, and building value-added data assets while improving resilience of data processing frameworks. Collaboration with health policy and research teams is essential.

Qualifications

• A tertiary qualification in Information Technology.
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL, including developing queries, stored procedures, views and indexes.
• Experience developing, maintaining or supporting data extraction, transformation and loading processes.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure data products, such as Azure SQL and Azure Data Factory.
• Ability to prepare clear technical documentation, including data models, data dictionaries, technical specifications and operational procedures.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, automate and support data integration, data warehouse and analytical data processing solutions across SQL Server, Azure and Databricks.
• Oversee ETL and data transformation processes, onboarding new datasets and developing derived data assets.
• Improve operational resilience of data processing frameworks and ensure data quality.
• Collaborate with policy and research teams to support data linkage and analytics initiatives.
