Job summary

James Hardie Industries is seeking a full-time Data Visualisation and Business Intelligence Analyst to join our Sydney CBD team. You will work under the Customer and Analytics Manager to enhance data accuracy, drive reporting improvements, and empower Operations and Commercial with actionable BI dashboards.

Key responsibilities include data quality reviews, KPI trend analysis, and collaborating with stakeholders to deliver self-service analytics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's, Master's or MBA in a relevant field.
• 3–5 years of enterprise data management and BI experience.
• Strong SAP data management and integration knowledge.
• Proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint (MS Office).
• Experience with Tableau or SAP Analytics Cloud.
• ETL experience with Alteryx.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform data quality reviews for accuracy, completeness and consistency.
• Interpret data, identify trends and KPI patterns for business insights.
• Collaborate with Operations and Commercial stakeholders to understand reporting needs.

The Opportunity

We’re looking for afull-time Data Visualisation and Business Intelligence Analyst to join our team in Sydney CBD.

Reporting to the Customer and Analytics Manager, this role will play an integral role in increasing accuracy and productivity. Identifying and resolving data quality problems within Internal and Customer Master Data to assist the Demand & Analytics team with process, output and reporting optimisation. In addition, assist with helping the business utilising BI reports and dashboard to drive better decision in Operations and Commercial.

The salary range for this role is $105,000-$120,000 + super

What you’ll do

• Perform raw data reviews for consistency, completeness, accuracy, and assess implications of change
• Interpret data, and analyse results, identifying and interpreting trends or patterns relating to key performance indicators
• Work with business stakeholders in Operations and Commercial to understand their reporting and data needs.
• Assist with business uptake of BI reports, dashboard and self-service literacy including workshop facilitation.
• Ensure ongoing data integrity and identifying then reporting data inconsistencies.
• Work with internal Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence consultants to ensure the design and construction of databases and data warehouse applications meet current and future business needs.

What you’ll bring

• Bachelor's degree, Masters or MBA in a relevant area of study
• 3-5 years of enterprise data management experience and BI experience
• Strong data management and integration experience within the SAP environment.
• Strong knowledge of MS Office package, especially Excel, Power Point
• BW query and SAP database
• Understanding of data visualisation tools such as Tableau, SAP Analytics Cloud etc
• Prior experience with ETL tools such as Alteryx
• High level competence with and passion to use data to drive projects
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
