Job summary

Protech is seeking Electrical Technicians Assistants with data centre experience and data cabling technicians for work in Canberra. These casual day-shift roles start ASAP on an 8-week project with potential for ongoing work.

Roles include installing and supporting communications infrastructure in data centres, reading drawings, performing fibre and copper cabling installations, and collaborating with project teams while following site safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Experience in data centre environments is essential.
• ACMA cable registration is essential for Data Technicians.
• White Card required.
• National Police Check required or willing to obtain.
• Silica & Asbestos Certificate is desirable.
• Current Driver’s Licence required.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Protech is looking for Electrical TA’s with data centreexperience & Data Cabling Technicians for work in theCanberra!

ABOUT THE ROLE:

• Casual roles starting ASAP
• Day shifts working Monday to Friday, possible Saturdays
• 8-week project with opportunity for long term work
• $40ph-$51ph + OT + super + penalties + travel (pending experience)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Experience in communications, electrical, data cabling, or similar technical environments is essential for the role
• Install and support communications infrastructure in data centres
• Read and interpret project drawings and documentation
• Fibre and copper cable installations and terminations
• Work collaboratively with project teams
• Follow all site safety procedures and industry standards

SKILLS+ REQUIREMENTS

• Experience working within a data centre will be preferred
• Strong understanding of data cabling standards and industry practices
• ACMA cable registration essential for Data Technicians
• Silica & Asbestos Certificate
• Current or willing to obtain National Police Check
• White Card (essential)
• Current Driver’s Licence
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and within a team
