Job summary

Randstad is partnering with a mining sector client to source a Data Solutions Lead for an initial 6‑month contract with potential extension. Based in Brisbane CBD with WFH flexibility, you will drive data transformation initiatives and optimise simulation outputs for Snowflake, while exploring GenAI-enabled analytics.

You will lead the design, delivery, and pilot of GenAI-driven Snowflake Cortex applications, supported by strong Python and Pandas capabilities, and provide SME guidance across

• Proven technical leadership experience in scoping, architecting, and delivering enterprise data engineering solutions.
• Strong expertise in enterprise cloud database platforms, with a strong preference for Snowflake.
• Advanced proficiency in Python for data transformation and manipulation, including experience with libraries like pandas.
• Demonstrated hands-on experience with advanced analytics and GenAI technologies such as Amazon Bedrock or Amazon SageMaker.
• Familiarity with building Streamlit applications and leveraging Snowflake Cortex capabilities is highly desirable.
• Mining sector or heavy industries sector experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead hands‑on technical delivery throughout the implementation of the selected scope and oversee engineering solutions.
• Design and execute a pilot project for a GenAI-driven Snowflake Cortex application for designated datasets and models.
• Provide GenAI SME support, assist with innovation hackathons, and create comprehensive documentation for ongoing support and handover.

Role Overview:

Are you an experienced Technical/Solutions Lead looking to drive high-impact data transformation and advanced analytics initiatives? We are seeking a Data Solutions Lead to shape and deliver a key simulation acceleration project. In this role, you will lead the optimisation of simulation outputs into Snowflake, improve dashboard performance, and explore cutting-edge GenAI-enabled analytics using Snowflake Cortex.
