Job summary

EnergyAustralia is seeking a Solution Architect, Data - Customer Transformation for a 6-month contract in Melbourne. The role provides solution leadership and advisory, shaping data migration to the new billing platform and enabling analytics across core business systems.

You will design data models, data quality processes, and sourcing strategies, while ensuring secure and scalable AWS infrastructure and enabling Power BI reporting from Databricks/Redshift datasets.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering data architecture and engineering at large-scale enterprises.
• Strong knowledge of data modelling, ETL/ELT, and data governance, security and compliance.
• Hands-on expertise with Databricks, Fivetran, and DBT.
• Experience with AWS cloud infrastructure and security best practices.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder influencing skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead solution architecture for data migration to the new billing platform.
• Define data quality, clean-up processes, and data models for analytics.
• Design data sourcing strategies (batch, real-time, API or event-based).
• Oversee data ingestion with Fivetran and DBT workflows.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and present architecture artefacts to the Architecture Review Board.
• Ensure AWS infrastructure is secure, scalable, and reliable.
• Enable reporting and visualization with Power BI from curated data.
