Job summary

Woolworths Ltd. is seeking a Data Scientist for the Order Sourcing Wiq initiative. You will combine data science with business insights to support delivery, collaborate with an Agile squad, and partner closely with stakeholders to drive data-driven decisions.

You will work on capacity and demand initiatives, model building, and bridging order management with optimization solutions, while mentoring teammates and contributing to cross-functional delivery.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of practical experience as a Data Scientist.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL and Python.
• Experience in Operations Research is a plus.
• Strong statistical and mathematical foundation; experience with experimental design and hypothesis testing.
• Solid understanding of MLOps, CI/CD, and model productionization.

Responsibilities

• Deliver clear presentations to senior management and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Engineering to productionize work streams.
• Partner with delivery teams to design and implement data-driven solutions.
• Mentor junior team members and collaborate with broader data science groups.
