Quantium is seeking a Lead Data Scientist for the wiq team to drive analytical excellence and strategic innovation for Woolworths. You will lead development and delivery of sophisticated data science and AI solutions, mentor a small team, and manage diverse stakeholder relationships to translate insights into business value.

You will guide technical talent through hands-on leadership while staying current with Generative AI trends, ensuring practical impact for senior executives and front-line

Qualifications

• Excellent SQL and Python skills.
• Experience with large-scale data processing.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (GCP, Azure, Databricks).
• Experience leading and developing technical teams of 3–5.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication.
• Understanding of Generative AI applications in analytics.

Responsibilities

• Lead analytical delivery of data science projects for Woolworths, ensuring high-quality solutions.
• Mentor and develop a small technical team (3–5 analysts).
• Maintain strong stakeholder relationships across levels, ensuring alignment with business goals.
• Translate technical concepts into clear, accessible recommendations for non-technical audiences.
• Apply Generative AI knowledge to improve productivity and output quality.
