Job summary

Woolworths Group Limited in Surry Hills, NSW, AU is seeking a Data Scientist for an on-site role within the Wiq Experiment initiative. The position emphasizes data-driven decision making and collaboration with Quantium to reimagine retail through advanced analytics.

You will work in an Agile squad, partner with business stakeholders, and deliver capacity and demand models, forecasting, and optimization solutions for the Order Sourcing domain.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of practical experience as a Data Scientist.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL and Python.
• Experience in Operations Research is a plus.
• Strong statistical and mathematical foundation with experience in experimental design or A/B testing.
• Solid understanding of MLOps, including CI/CD, Git operations, model productionization.

Responsibilities

• Delivering clear, concise, and comprehensive presentations to senior management and stakeholders.
• Collaborating with the Engineering team to facilitate the productionization of work streams.
• Partner closely with delivery teams to help design, implement and execute solutions to help shape and support their strategy.
• Engage in coordination and collaboration with broader data science teams, and provide mentorship to more junior team members.
