Job summary

TAL Australia, based in Sydney, is seeking a Data Scientist to join the Actuarial Pricing and Value team. You will leverage data, analytics, and emerging tech to uncover insights that support retention, pricing, and long-term value across TAL's Retail Advised and Direct Life Insurance portfolios.

Qualifications

• Bring tertiary qualifications in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Actuarial Studies, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.
• Have at least 2 years’ industry experience in a data, analytics or related quantitative role.
• Insurance industry experience highly regarded.
• Use strong SQL skills to prepare, explore and transform data into meaningful insights.
• Apply Python and/or R to develop analytical, statistical or machine learning models.
• Create clear dashboards and reporting solutions using Power BI or similar tools.
• Communicate complex insights clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
