Job summary

Macquarie Bank Limited is seeking a Senior Product Manager and Data Platform Lead to define and drive the vision for a global data platform spanning market data, reference data and infrastructure services.

You will partner with business, technology and operations to prioritise investments, deliver capabilities that support growth, regulatory compliance and resilience. You will lead a high-performing team, balancing strategy with hands-on delivery to modernise foundational data platforms.

Qualifications

  • Significant experience leading large-scale data platforms, technology products or enterprise capabilities within financial services or similarly complex data-driven environments.
  • Strong product management experience, including defining strategy, roadmaps, investment priorities and delivering outcomes across multiple stakeholder groups.
  • Deep understanding of market data, reference data, data governance and modern data platform architecture, with the ability to translate business needs into scalable solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Define and drive the vision, strategy and roadmap for a globally significant portfolio spanning market data, reference data and infrastructure services.
  • Partner with business, technology and operations to identify opportunities and prioritize investments that support growth, regulatory requirements and resilience.
  • Balance strategic leadership with hands-on involvement in data, technology and product outcomes across a complex stakeholder landscape.

We are responsible for the foundational platforms that provide the governed data, technology and operational capabilities required to support business growth, meet regulatory obligations and strengthen operational resilience. The team focuses on simplifying complex technology and data landscapes, enhancing controls and transparency, and delivering scalable platform services that align with the division’s strategic objectives while enabling innovation across a global business.

As a Senior Product Manager and Data Platform Lead, you will define and drive the vision, strategy and roadmap for a globally significant portfolio spanning market data, reference data and infrastructure services. You will partner closely with business, technology and operational stakeholders to identify opportunities, prioritise investment decisions and deliver capabilities that support business growth, regulatory requirements and operational resilience.

You will take ownership of the platform lifecycle, balancing strategic leadership with hands-on involvement in data, technology and product outcomes. Working across a complex stakeholder landscape, you will drive initiatives that simplify processes, strengthen governance and controls, improve transparency and modernise foundational platform capabilities. You will also play a key role in shaping and delivering innovative solutions through the adoption of artificial intelligence, automation and advanced analytics, helping unlock new opportunities and improve user experiences across the division. As a leader, you will inspire and develop a high-performing team while fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation and continuous improvement. You will be responsible for ensuring delivery is aligned to strategic objectives, creating measurable business value and supporting the ongoing evolution of the organisation's data and platform capabilities.

  • Significant experience leading large-scale data platforms, technology products or enterprise capabilities within financial services or similarly complex, data-driven environments
