Macquarie Bank Limited in Sydney is seeking a technically minded Technical Business Analyst to document business processes, data flows and system interactions across trading and operational platforms. You will validate findings with data, APIs, and AI-enabled tools, helping to deliver scalable technology solutions and trusted sources of truth.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of experience analysing structured data and investigating complex business or technology problems, with the ability to independently validate findings and identify root causes.
• Strong SQL skills and the ability to interpret technical documentation, system integrations, APIs, system logs, and data flows across multiple platforms.
• Demonstrated capability to document business processes, business rules, and data lineage clearly and accurately, creating trusted resources for both business and technology stakeholders.
• Experience using AI-enabled tools, data analysis techniques, or automation solutions, with the ability to critically assess outputs and verify results through evidence-based analysis.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across business and technology teams, challenge assumptions constructively, and work effectively in complex and evolving environments.

As a Technical Business Analyst, you will establish and maintain trusted documentation of business processes, systems, and data flows across a complex technology environment. We're looking for a technically minded problem solver who enjoys investigating how systems and processes work, validating assumptions with data, and uncovering the root cause of complex issues.
