Job summary

EHPlabs seeks a Data Platform Engineer to build and run our governed data platform on Google Cloud. The platform ingests trusted data from NetSuite, Shopify and marketing systems, lands it in BigQuery, and serves internal applications, dashboards and AI tools. It is live in pilot and ready to scale.

You will own data pipelines, transformations, quality and datasets, while administering access and governance across regions. This role blends data engineering with IT operations in a small team.

Qualifications

• Strong SQL and data modelling capability.
• Experience with relational data models or data warehouses.
• Hands-on scripting in Python for automation and checks.
• Ability to defend output against source data.
• Experience with data extracted from systems you did not control.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor data ingestion into BigQuery from NetSuite, Shopify and marketing platforms.
• Build and maintain SQL transformations to create business-ready datasets.
• Support consumers of the platform (apps, dashboards, AI tooling) with datasets and quality checks.
• Track data quality and resolve discrepancies with data owners.
• Document pipelines and runbooks to ensure maintainability.
• Onboard new data domains and tools as the platform scales.
• Administer access and governance across regions and apps.
