Job summary
St Vincent’s Health Australia in Melbourne is seeking a Data Engineer to design and maintain data pipelines powering reporting, analytics, and AI initiatives. You will work with Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL, Power BI, Databricks or Microsoft Fabric to shape enterprise data models and ensure data governance.
Based in Melbourne with a hybrid arrangement (minimum two days on site per week), you will collaborate with stakeholders, implement ETL/ELT pipelines, and contribute to secure, scalable data
Qualifications
- Minimum five years of experience in data engineering and warehousing.
- Experience designing and building enterprise ETL/ELT solutions on Microsoft Azure.
- Strong SQL and programming skills in Python or Scala with data manipulation and automation.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain end-to-end ETL/ELT pipelines across Azure-based platforms.
- Design enterprise data architectures and dimensional models for analytics.
- Monitor and optimize data warehouses for reliability and cost efficiency.
- Apply software engineering practices: Git, CI/CD, testing, documentation.
