Job summary

St Vincent’s Health Australia is seeking a Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain data pipelines that feed the enterprise data platform, enabling reporting, analytics, and AI use cases across the organisation.

You will work with Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL, Power BI, and Databricks or Microsoft Fabric, shaping data models and governance while collaborating with stakeholders to ensure secure, accurate data products. Hybrid, Melbourne-based role with on-site days.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of experience across data engineering, modeling, architecture and warehousing with relevant qualification.
• Proven experience designing and building ETL/ELT solutions using Microsoft Azure and lakehouse architectures.
• Advanced SQL and programming in Python or Scala for data manipulation and automation.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain end-to-end ETL/ELT pipelines across Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL, Databricks or Microsoft Fabric.
• Shape enterprise data architectures and dimensional models while evaluating risks and impacts.
• Monitor data warehouse environments for reliability, performance and cost efficiency.
