Rome2Rio is seeking a Head of Data in Sydney to own the strategy, architecture and delivery of our data platform. You will lead a team of about 8 data and analytics engineers and partner with the VP of Engineering and leadership to shape the company's data-driven direction.

Proven success leading data and analytics teams.
Strong experience with modern data stack and governance.
Hands-on data modelling and platform governance.
Comfort with AI/LLM integration into data platforms.

Responsibilities

Own the data strategy and roadmap across platform, governance and AI enablement.
Design and evolve data platform architecture with reliable pipelines.
Set data modelling, CI/CD and documentation standards across analytics stack.
Govern data quality, lineage, access control and single source of truth.
Partner with Product, Engineering, Marketing, Commercial and Finance.
