Job summary

Allura Partners is seeking a Data Lead to own the data workstream for a full Workday implementation across HR, Payroll and Finance. You will drive from source extraction through to migration, transformation, validation and cutover, collaborating with the SI and internal data teams in a hybrid setup across Australia.

You’ll lead the data strategy, governance and quality for a highly sensitive people dataset, with a clear path into broader Data and AI initiatives once migration lands.

Qualifications

• Experience leading data workstreams on a Workday implementation (HCM/Payroll/Finance).
• Strong grounding in data migration and ETL.
• Ability to communicate data concepts to senior non-technical stakeholders.
• Hands-on track record beyond program oversight.
• Comfortable with Snowflake or quick to learn.
• Interest in AI and its application to data and business outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Own the data strategy and migration plan for the Workday implementation, from source extraction through to mapping, transformation, validation and cutover.
• Build relationships with business stakeholders possessing source-system knowledge to drive data decisions.
• Partner with the Systems Integrator to clarify Workday field requirements while retaining responsibility for the work.
• Work hands-on across the data workstream, balancing hands-on delivery with direction in a lean team.
• Set the standard for data governance and quality across a highly sensitive people dataset.

Our client is a major Australian financial services organisation. They're undertaking a full Workday transformation across HR, Payroll and Finance, with a strong AI-first agenda shaping how the business operates going forward.

About the Role

As Data Lead, you'll own the data workstream for a full Workday implementation end to end, from source extraction through to migration, transformation, validation and cutover. You'll work closely with the Systems Integrator, internal data team and business stakeholders, and this role has a clear path into a broader Data and AI remit once migration lands.

Benefits

Salary up to $160,000 plus superannuation. Location is flexible anywhere in Australia, with hybrid working supported. This is a genuinely foundational role. You'll own the data strategy for a major HRIS transformation and be first in line for an expanded Data and AI role once the migration is complete. You'll work in a lean, hands‑on team with real autonomy and senior stakeholder exposure, at an organisation that’s serious about putting AI to work.

Duties / Key Responsibilities

• Partner with the Systems Integrator to clarify Workday field requirements while retaining accountability for the work
• Work hands‑on across the data workstream, balancing hands‑on delivery with direction in a lean team
• Set the standard for data governance and quality across a highly sensitive people dataset

Skills and Experience

• Experience leading data workstreams on a Workday implementation, ideally across HCM, Payroll and Finance end to end (or comparable HRIS/ERP migration experience at a senior level)
• Strong technical grounding in data migration and ETL
• Confidence communicating data concepts to senior, non‑technical stakeholders
• A genuine hands‑on track record, not just program oversight
• Comfort with Snowflake, or ability to pick it up quickly
• Genuine interest in AI and its practical application to data and business outcomes
