Talent is seeking an experienced Data Analyst for a 6-month initial contract to support a government agency migration and transformation program in Melbourne. You will work on data analysis, profiling, validation and quality assurance, leveraging SQL, Power BI and Microsoft Fabric.

You will partner with data engineers and stakeholders to define transformation rules and ensure data readiness for migration, with a hybrid CBD location supporting the project’s delivery cadence.

Formación

• 6+ years of experience in Data Analysis and/or Data Migration projects, with strong data profiling and source-to-target mapping.
• Strong SQL skills with proven experience in data analysis, validation and reconciliation.
• Hands-on experience developing Power BI reports and Microsoft Fabric.
• Experience with Microsoft Fabric or similar platforms such as Azure Synapse or SQL Server.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills with stakeholders.

Responsabilidades

• Analyse source and target systems, including data structures, relationships and business requirements.
• Perform data profiling, cleansing and analysis to identify data quality issues.
• Develop SQL queries and Power BI reports to support data validation.
• Support data migration activities including migration loads, testing, cutover readiness.
• Work closely with business stakeholders, data engineers and project teams to define transformation rules.
