Job summary

Davidson is seeking a Data Analyst to support a hybrid Melbourne-based role, focusing on data migration, analysis and transformation using Microsoft Fabric and BI tools. You will ensure data quality and assist with governance while engaging with business stakeholders.

The role requires 3–6 years of experience, strong SQL skills, and expertise with Microsoft Dynamics CRM and Power BI. 6-month contract with hybrid work arrangement and the chance to influence data strategy.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of experience in data migration, analysis and transformation projects.
• Strong SQL skills for analysing, validating and reconciling data.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics CRM.
• Experience building Power BI reports and dashboards.
• Experience with Microsoft Fabric or similar Microsoft data platforms (e.g. Azure Synapse, SQL Server).
• Attention to detail and methodical approach to resolving data issues.
• Excellent communication skills across stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Data analysis and mapping between source and target systems.
• Profile source data to identify quality issues and inconsistencies.
• Create and maintain source-to-target mappings; define transformation rules.
• Write SQL queries to analyse data and test transformations.
• Collaborate with data engineers to implement rules in Fabric.
• Run and monitor migration loads; investigate failures or unexpected results.
• Build Power BI reports to track migration progress and data quality.
• Document mappings, rules, tests and issue logs.
