Job summary

Talent Corp seeks an experienced Data Analyst to join a transformation project team, supporting a major data migration and technology program in Melbourne CBD. You will use SQL, Power BI and Microsoft Fabric to analyze data and validate migrations.

This is a 6-month initial contract with hybrid CBD working arrangements, collaborating with data engineers and stakeholders to define transformation rules and ensure data quality across source and target systems.

Qualifications

• 6+ years' experience in Data Analysis and/or Data Migration projects, with strong experience in data profiling and source-to-target mapping.
• Strong SQL skills with proven experience analysing, validating and reconciling data.
• Hands-on experience developing Power BI reports and Microsoft Fabric
• Experience with Microsoft Fabric or similar Microsoft data platforms such as Azure Synapse or SQL Server.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Analyse source and target systems, including data structures, relationships and business requirements
• Perform data profiling, cleansing and analysis to identify data quality issues
• Develop SQL queries and Power BI reports to support data validation
• Support data migration activities including migration loads, testing, cutover readiness
• Work closely with business stakeholders, data engineers and project teams to define transformation rules
