Job summary

Airtree, Sydney-based VC, is hiring a data-focused engineer to optimise our Snowflake warehouse and pipelines. You’ll work closely with investment and finance teams to scale data infrastructure and deliver improved portfolio reporting.

We seek curious problem-solvers with strong Python/SQL and a passion for turning data into actionable insights, including dashboards built with Streamlit. This is an in-office role three days a week in Sydney with flexible days.

Qualifications

• Strong Python and SQL programming capabilities.
• Experience with data warehousing and analytics workflows.
• Familiarity with Snowflake, dbt and AWS Lambda is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Optimize and scale the Snowflake data warehouse to meet growing data needs.
• Enhance and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines using dbt and AWS Lambda.
• Refine AWS Lambda functions to support data processing and integration.
• Collaborate with investment partners to evolve data-driven tools for opportunities.
• Lead quarterly portfolio reporting with streamlined processes.
• Iterate on Airtree dashboards built with Streamlit for actionable insights.
• Improve data models and infrastructure using best practices and new tech.
• Champion data-driven decision-making across the organization.
