Job summary

Airtree is seeking a data engineer to optimise Snowflake data warehouse, dbt pipelines, and the AWS Lambda ecosystem. You will collaborate with investment and finance teams to scale data infrastructure for origination, portfolio reporting, and quarterly analytics.

Based in Sydney, this full-time, in-office role three days a week with two flexible days offers ownership, experimentation, and a focus on data-driven decision making across our venture capital operations.

Qualifications

• Experience building data pipelines and dashboards.
• Strong SQL and Python skills.
• Familiarity with Snowflake, dbt and Lambda.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Responsibilities

• Optimise and scale Snowflake data warehouse to meet growing data needs.
• Enhance ETL/ELT pipelines built with dbt and AWS Lambda.
• Refine and expand Lambda functions for data processing and integration.
• Collaborate with investment teams to surface investment opportunities.
• Lead analysis and reporting of Airtree portfolio companies for quarterly reporting.
• Iterate on dashboards and insight packs with Streamlit for actionable insights.
• Improve data models and infrastructure using best practices.
