Job summary

The Living Company seeks an Analytics Engineer to design and build data pipelines powering insights for 10,000+ retirement living residents across Australia. You will lead a greenfield Snowflake deployment, craft dbt models, and partner with Finance, Sales and Operations to deliver reliable data products.

You will migrate legacy systems, implement Snowpark-based pipelines, and maintain data quality while adopting modern data stack practices and AI initiatives.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in Analytics Engineering or similar data engineering role.
• Background in consulting, professional services, startup or scaleup environments.
• Strong SQL and dbt experience, having built and maintained production data models.
• Hands-on experience with Snowflake.
• Experience with Fivetran or similar ingestion tooling.
• Python proficiency, comfortable building scripts and pipelines.
• CI/CD fundamentals, including version control and automated deployment.
• Familiarity with data pipeline monitoring and troubleshooting.
• Self-directed, able to take a brief and drive it to completion without handholding.
• Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau) or AI/ML data initiatives, or in property/retirement living environments will be highly regarded

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the Snowflake data platform deployment and build out infrastructure.
• Migrate legacy data infrastructure into Snowflake across multiple business domains.
• Build and maintain dbt models across bronze, silver, gold and platinum layers.
• Ingest data into Snowflake via Fivetran and Snowpark-based pipelines.
• Turn raw source data into analytics-ready datasets for the business.
• Collaborate with Finance, CRM and operations to refine data requirements.
• Translate business problems into scalable data solutions.
• Monitor and maintain data pipeline health and troubleshoot issues.
• Support emerging AI data initiatives as the platform matures.
• Stay current with Snowflake, dbt, Fivetran best practices and bring ideas to the team
