Job summary

IKEA Australia & New Zealand is hiring a Country Data Analyst to translate complex data into actionable insights for performance and strategy. Based in Sydney with on-site collaboration and on-going analytics work, you will help shape the business with data-driven decisions.

You will extract, transform and share insights using SQL, Python and Power BI, conduct advanced analyses, collaborate cross-functionally, and support country performance planning and customer experiences.

Qualifications

• Formal qualifications in economics, engineering, natural sciences, computer science, statistics or mathematics.
• Minimum 2 years as a Business Analyst, (Junior) Data/Web Analyst, or (Junior) Data Scientist.
• Good knowledge of data processing for large datasets.
• Cloud familiarity with AWS or Google Cloud Platform preferred.
• Experience with digital product development in a retail setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Champions data-driven decision-making to improve business performance.
• Conducts advanced data exploration and analysis to deliver actionable insights.
• Evaluates and integrates diverse data sources for analytics and strategy.
• Writes SQL queries to extract, transform and load data for analysis.
