Full time, 2 year fixed-term located at our Camperdown Campus Exciting opportunity to analyse data, develop solutions and support operations at the Faculty of Engineering Base Salary $107,312 - $115,686 + 17% superannuation

About the opportunity

The Faculty of Engineering is currently seeking a Data Insights Analyst to extract and visualise data to derive insightful analytics, employing foundational techniques to help inform university strategies and play a key role in collecting and reporting data for internal and external processes.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

• extract, transform, and visualise data to provide analytical insights
• use foundational data analysis techniques to help shape university strategies and design IT solutions
• support the administration of data collection efforts for informed decision-making
• collect and provide data for internal monitoring and contribute to understanding external implications
• engage in data preparation and cleansing to ensure the reliability of analytical results
• support effective handover of solutions by documenting their development and training stakeholders to utilise those solutions
• take the lead in handling stakeholder communications, ensuring that concerns are addressed effectively and promptly while fostering a culture of trust and collaboration within the work area and beyond

About you

• Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field or an equivalent combination of relevant training and experience
• demonstrated experience in delivering technical solutions that focus on digital forms and workflow, automation, collaboration services and process improvement
• ability to evaluate and apply emerging technologies, including AI, automation, analytics, and other disruptive technologies
• strong capability in data analytics, machine learning, system modelling and intelligent automation
• demonstrated experience with the Microsoft Power Platform, including Power BI, Power Query, Power Automate, and Power Apps, for data analysis workflows
• confident in analysing and providing insights on complex quantitative and qualitative data
• proficiency in Microsoft Copilot, OpenAI, Azure AI Foundry, intelligent agents, LLM services and the Microsoft Power Platform experience engaging with diverse internal and external project stakeholders
