Job summary

Community Housing Canberra (CHC) Australia is seeking a Data Governance and Reporting Manager to shape its data foundations amid rapid growth. You’ll review existing reporting, establish data ownership, and build a central register of reporting obligations to support government and regulator reporting.

You’ll design dashboards and templates in Excel and Power BI, uplift cross-team data capabilities, and partner with legal, finance and operations to embed data quality, governance and compliant

Qualifications

• Experience setting up data governance and reporting across a diverse organisation.
• Strong ability to communicate data concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to design and implement new data processes and governance structures.
• Proven track record in developing dashboards and reports in Excel/Power BI.

Responsibilities

• Review current reporting, data and systems across teams and identify gaps.
• Establish data governance, including shared definitions, data quality rules and data ownership.
• Build and maintain a central register of reporting obligations.
• Deliver accurate, timely reporting to government, regulators, funding partners and the Board.
• Develop reports, dashboards and templates in Excel and Power BI.
• Design and document processes, quality assurance and data checks.
• Act as data and reporting lead on new system implementations.
• Lift compliance reporting and advise on data quality to executives and committees.
