Job summary

Icon Water is seeking a Data Governance Analyst to strengthen governance, quality and integrity of enterprise data across the ACT organisation. You will support frameworks, policies and practices to drive improvements in data quality, compliance and maturity, collaborating with business and technology stakeholders to ensure trusted information informs decision-making.

Qualifications

• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Information Technology, Data and Information Management, Information Systems or a related discipline.
• Demonstrated experience in Data Governance, Data Management, Information Management or a related specialist role within a medium to large organisation.
• Strong knowledge of data governance, data quality, metadata management, master data management and data stewardship principles.
• Experience implementing or supporting governance frameworks, policies, standards and governance improvement initiatives.
• Sound understanding of data privacy, information security, records management and relevant regulatory obligations, including the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and Territory Records Act 2002 (ACT).
• Demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to embed effective data governance practices.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into practical business outcomes.
• Professional certifications in data governance or data management disciplines such as CDMP, DCAM, ICCP or equivalent will be highly regarded.
• Experience working with modern data, analytics and cloud technologies will be highly regarded.
